The Military Museum
Port Said Military Museum was established in 1964 in order to commemorate the 1956 the tripartite aggression on the city of Port Said, as a witness on the valiant people of Port Said in defense of their homeland. The museum was established on an area of ​​approximately 7,000 m2 in its current location at July 23 Street, in front of Mubarak Military Hospital in 1964. The museum has been developed by adding the Hall of October War in 1978.
The museum is divided into four halls and an open yard in the Museum’s garden, which includes a wide range of weapons seized in the wars of 1956 and 1973, also includes another range of archaeological weapons of different guns from the era of Mohamed Ali.
The museum also contains a hall of the Suez Canal that includes various artifacts that tells the story of the Sues Canal since the beginning until the opining in addition to the vital role of the Suez Canal in Egypt's history of political, military and economic.
The museum also contains The Hall of October War showing the Armed Forces Championships at the stage of steadfastness and the war of attrition in October 1973 in addition to models of light weapons seized from weapons Israel army in 1973 war.
