Taba Protected Area

Taba Protected Area is located in the south-western side in Taba covers an area of ​​about 3590 km2. The Area includes many geological formations, caves, mountain passes, and a network of multiple valleys, the protected area mainly consists of sandstone, which belongs to the Middle Ages, also includes the Nubian stone and many other stnoe formations.

 

Taba Protected Area is characterized by the existence of various rare plant and animals which are endangered; it also has about 25 species of mammals, such as gazelle, Nubian ibex and, lint and so on. Also contains about 50 species of resident birds such as eagles, hawks, buzzards and others, another main thing in the protected area of Taba is the presence of archaeological sites, which reaches back to about 5000 years and a rare wildlife in addition to the traditional heritage of the Bedouin residents.
