A friend and I had a long transit in Cairo and wanted to see Giza, the pyramids, a souk, and the Egyptian museum.
We recently traveled to Egypt to experience it's history and beauty. We had heard that Egypt was a little sketchy, so we did quite a bit of research and decided to hire Shaspo Tours for a private tour. First off...... Egypt is VERY SAFE right now. We were met personally by Mr. Shirif, who in collaberation with us, designed our tour of Egypt. From the Museum in Cairo, the great Pyramid of Khufu, the Sphinx, the temples at Abu Simbal, a Nile cruise, the Valley of the Kings and numerous temples along the Nile to Luxor. All of our guides were prompt, courteous and professional. We felt VERY VERY SAFE and Shaspo Tours and Mr. Sherif, made sure our accomodations were perfect. Save yourself allot of time and just book the tour with Shaspo Tours. We couldn't be happier!
We love to travel!! We usually plan all of our trips on our own because it has the most flexibility and is an exciting research challenge, however, in Egypt we felt a "tour" would be a better option. Through Trip Advisor I found Shaspo Tours and I am so glad I did! From the beginning of the planning process to the very last day of our trip they were completely professional and responsive. Mr. Sherif planned a fantastic and affordable private tour for the two of us that left no stone unturned. He was very attentive to our needs and made sure that our accommodations were to our liking. If I were to return to Egypt I would not hesitate to book with Shaspo Tours. Incidentally, we did not feel "unsafe" in Egypt at all so go, go, go!!!!
In March 2015 my husband and I and another couple went for a 14 day holiday in Egypt which we thoughly enjoyed. One of the highlights would have to be the Dahabiya Cruise along the Nile, which lasted 5 days and 4 nights. A Dahabiya is inbetween the size of a tradiional felucca and a cruise boat. It had 5 double cabins with ensuites, kitchen, bar, lounge and deck area was quite large and this is where we would dine each day. The boat's name was Princess Donia and we booked the cruise with Sherif from Shaspo Tours before we left Australia. The cruise also included a tour of the temples and sites from Luxor to Aswan. Our tour guide was on the boat with us for the entire journey. Our tour guide was Emad, who was very knowledgable about Egpyt and spoke very good english. The food on the boat was sensational! To be honest my expectations were not high for the food as I thought, how good could the food be prepared in a boat kitchen?, but I blown away by not just the quality tasting food but also the amount of food! The staff were also outstanding and accommodating. They were all very friendly and polite and made the experience even more enjoyable. One night we were even permitted to enter the boat kitchen and help the chef prepare dinner for the night. This was a wonderful experience. I must say this cruise along the Nile was absolutely one of the highlights of our trip and if I was to return to Egypt I would do it again. It was quite pricey for the cruise which included the tour guide and site seeing for 4 nights, 5 nights but I believe it was worth every cent! I would recommend this tour and cruise and to anyone; old, young, single, married or a family with children!
Recently my husband and I along with a couple of friends went on a 4 night cruise down the river Nile. We booked through Shaspo tours and with the help of Sherif we booked a Dahabiya rather than a larger cruise boat as we wanted a more "traditional" experience.
I was on vacation in Egypt covering Cairo, Luxor and Sharm and the trip was for 8 days.
The very first day, I landed in Cairo, we were welcomed at Cairo airport by Shaspo representative. The accommodation was arranged in Moven Pick hotel with Pyramid view.To my surprise, we got accommodation in room where no signs of Pyramid and few minutes after, smoke started coming out from the room.We were immediately moved to different room where the view to pyramid is fully blocked by palm tree. Finally after informing Shaspo, we were finally given the room which we have agreed upon. The very first day was filled with mental humiliation which we didn’t expect and was not happy.Appreciate the prompt response and presence from Shaspo tours to resolve the issue. The site seeing was great and we explored / experienced the great pyramids and history. The guide were really good, friendly and helpful.
The Luxor stay in Sonesta St. George was really great and had a good family time. The site seeing was memorable and we explored the valley of Kings/Queens and lot more covering history. The guide were really good, friendly and helpful.
Second issue that we faced was, the flight timing for the whole journey was shared with Shaspo tours but unfortunately on the very last day in Luxor, we got informed that Sharm hotel stay check in timing is 12.00hrs and as our flight was reaching at 7.30am, we have to wait until 12pm to check in ,which we are not aware of.But as we were travelling with 22month old kid , we got concession to check in as soon as we reach at Namabay. Thanks to Namabay reception guy.
Request for Shaspo tour, is to have good coordination with hotel stay and ensure the rooms are, as per agreement, inorder to make Egypt tour, a memorable one.
Apart from this unexpected troubles, we enjoyed a lot with site-seeing throughout the journey, the guide were really good, friendly and helpful. They have given good information about history. The highlight is, we had a safe site-seeing and journey throughout the tour. Thanks to Shaspo tour.
My son and I recently traveled to Egypt and Jordan for a very short trip. We arrived in Cairo very late on December 13 and left early on December 15. I contacted Shaspo Tours and we arranged our airport transfers, tours of the Giza plateau, a short tour of the Bizarre and a dinner cruise on the Nile. All of my emails we answered promptly and professionally. The service provided was impeccable, I have no complaints with anything.
I would highly recommend this company to anyone visiting Cairo.
Highly recommended the best trip ever, everything was worked out by tour company. Didn't have to worry about anything. Hotel was great the nile cruise was great. We wish shaspo tours all the best and definitely travel with them again.
"Trustworthy and Excellent"
My 14yr old son and I traveled to Egypt for a month this past June/July 2014. Prior to the trip I contacted Shaspo Tour Company and began planning our trip. They responded to my emails immediatly and were very professional in how they communicated with me. We spent 4 months planning our trip with them and at any moment I was not happy with the itinarary I created or price they would respond immediatly and would be willing to readjust plans that fit into my budget.
During a recent trip, my wife and I found ourselves with a 21 hour layover in Cairo. Our flight arrived at 2 am and departed at 11 pm the same day. We knew that we wanted to see they pyramids, the old city and the alabaster mosque. Therefore, we contacted multiple companies for creating the best trip for us. We asked to include a hotel for resting (preferably with a late checkout) and airport transfers. Emails from Shaspo Tours Egypt (STE) were immediate, professional, direct and responsive to my requests. Prices were discussed during initial contact. During each iteration of customization of the tour, the change in price (higher or lower) was discussed. I felt that the communication was very transparent and this gave me a high level of trust, thanks to the wonderful work of Salma. Other contacted tour operators were reluctant to discuss price, or communication was very short and seemed rather disinterested in my request.
