Blue Hole

Blue Hole

Blue Hole is an interesting dive site in where most of the tourists in Dahab are attracted for. It is a popular diving location on east Sinai, a few kilometers north of Dahab, Egypt on the coast of the Red Sea. The Blue Hole is a kind of cave, around 130 m (462.5 feet) deep. You descend straight down alongside the wall and dive round the hole (upside down and looking out is best) and pop out into the blue.

The hole is famous for its fatal end for most divers which go deeper and do not put limits for their diving. There is a local legend that the Blue Hole is cursed by the ghost of girl who drowned herself there to escape from an arranged marriage.
